The 'Gossip Girl' alum announces that her album 'Heartstrings' will come out on October 28 and fans who pre-order it on iTunes will be able to download its title track.

AceShowbiz - Leighton Meester is releasing her debut album next month. On Tuesday, September 9, the "Gossip Girl" alum announced in an Instagram post that her LP, titled "Heartstrings", would arrive on October 28 via Hotly Wanting.

"Very excited to announce that my new album #Heartstrings will be available October 28th!" she said. "Thank you for so much love and support." Fans who pre-order the album on iTunes now will get a free download of the title track.

The tracks on "Heartstring" were all penned by Meester and produced by Jeff Trot. " 'Heartstrings' speaks to vibe and encompasses a lot of the themes of the rest of the album," the actress/singer told Billboard of the long-awaited LP. "It's been a long time coming and I'm very excited to finally release it."

The 28-year-old entertainer, who showed off her vocal chops in "Country Strong", was previously signed to Universal Music and released "Somebody to Love" with Robin Thicke in 2009 and "Your Love's a Drug" in 2011 under the label. After they parted ways, she joined Hotly Wanting.
