The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' star confirms Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos' statement that a fifth season of the sitcom will be happening.

AceShowbiz - Will Arnett confirms more "Arrested Development" is coming to Netflix. In an interview with Carson Daly on "Today" show to promote his new movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", the actor said that there would be a fifth season of the comedy series.

"Yeah, we are gonna do more 'Arrested Development'," he said on the NBC morning program on Thursday, August 7. "Ted Sarandos [Netflix CEO] and Netflix kinda let the cat out of the bag on that one. It's something we all want to do, so we're excited."

Sarandos previously spilled the beans when telling USA Today he's "positive" that there would be a fifth season of "Arrested Development", adding, "It's just a matter of when." They're working on the schedule to get the stars together as he acknowledged "a fair criticism... that the cast didn't appear on screen often enough together" in the fourth season.

Netflix revived the cult comedy for a fourth season after it was canceled by FOX in 2006. The new season premiered in May 2013 and the streaming service said that the viewership was "huge, just as we had hoped," though no number of audience was released.
