FOX has released a new promo for "Gotham" that introduces the villains. Thus, Camren Bicondova's Selina Kyle/future Catwoman, Robin Lord Taylor's Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. The Penguin and Jada Pinkett Smith's Fish Mooney get the highlight in the video.

Benjamin Mckenzie's James Gordon narrates the snippet. "How will the little girl, a low-level thug, a business woman become the most dangerous villains around? Simple answer-they all got their start in this city," he says, before the scene switches to a shot of himself and his mentor Detective Harvey Bullock, played by Donal Logue.

The Batman prequel series will explore the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains who made Gotham City famous. Brave, honest and ready to prove himself, the newly-minted detective is partnered with the brash, but shrewd police legend Bullock as the two stumble upon the city's highest-profile case ever: the murder of local billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne.

The crime drama will follow Gordon's turbulent and singular rise through the Gotham City police department while highlighting the unlikely friendship Gordon forms with the young heir to the Wayne fortune. It is a friendship that will last them all of their lives, playing a crucial role in helping the young boy eventually become the crusader he's destined to be.

David Mazouz stars as young Bruce Wayne. The cast also include Erin Richards as Gordon's fiancee Barbara Kean, Zabryna Guevara as Gordon's boss Captain Essen, Sean Pertwee as Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth, and Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma a.k.a. the future Riddler.

"The Mentalist" creator Bruno Heller wrote the script along with Danny Cannon ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Nikita"), who also directed the pilot. The new series will debut this fall.
