Keanu Reeves Boards 'Whole Truth' After Daniel Craig's Exit
Movie

Reeves is replacing Daniel Craig who left the project due to commitment to the 24th Bond film.

AceShowbiz -

"The Whole Truth" is back on track as Keanu Reeves signs up to replace Daniel Craig. The production was thrown out of schedule when Craig quit the project in April, just several days before filming was set to begin. He was bound by the commitment to "Bond 24".

According to Deadline, Reeves will take the over the lead male role of a defense attorney. Penned by Nicholas Kazan, the film sees the skilled defense attorney fighting to get his teenage client acquitted of murdering his wealthy father. Gabriel Basso, Renee Zellweger and Gugu Mbatha-Raw have previously signed up to star in the movie, which will be Courtney Hunt's first after her Oscar-nominated directorial debut "Frozen River".

Some changes are also made in the production line-up. Producers Richard Suckle and Charles Roven take over the role of exec producers while Likely Story's Anthony Bregman and PalmStar Entertainment's Kevin Frakes become the producers. Bregman and Frakes have worked with Reeves in 2005's "Thumbsucker".

Pre production will begin next month in New Orleans. Set originally in Boston, the film will now have Reeves' character as a Southern lawyer instead of a Boston-based one.
