Base additionally took to Facebook to share the sad news. "R.I.P. Skip (DJ EZ Rock) friends since 4Th grade I'm really going to miss you," he wrote. Other hip-hop artists also mourned Rock's death on social media. "R.I.P. to EZ Rock from Rob Base and EZ Rock. You will truly be missed," Biz Markie tweeted.

Rock and Base became friends when they were kids.
