The first trailer for "Hercules" has landed online after previously getting shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shows off his muscled physique as the titular legendary warrior as he is pitted against various beasts including a serpent-like creature with multiple heads.

"No matter how far you go, man cannot escape his fate," the trailer begins with a voiceover. "Who are you? Are you a murderer? Are you a mercenary who turns his back on the innocent?" The voice continues as footage of Hercules being chained to a stone wall is shown, "We believe in you. We have faith in you. Remember the deeds you have performed. The labors you have accomplished. Are you only the legend, or are you the truth behind the legend?"

The movie will follow Hercules' journey as a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. Directed by Brett Ratner, it is set to make its way out across the country on July 25. The cast also includes Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, John Hurt, and Irina Shayk.
