AceShowbiz - Before donning Batman suit for "Man of Steel 2", Ben Affleck will play a two-timing man in thriller "Gone Girl". A first look at his character, Nick Dunne, is shown in a first still which shows him standing in front of a big poster of Rosamund Pike who plays his missing wife, Amy.
An adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling mystery novel of the same name, the film revolves around Amy's mysterious disappearance on the day of her fifth wedding anniversary. As Nick plays the grieving husband in public, all roads point to him as the main suspect.
The movie is directed by David Fincher ("The Social Network", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)"). Emily Ratajkowski plays Nick's mistress. Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry are also in the supporting roles. It's due for U.S. release on October 3, 2014.
