"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson showed just how traditional he is like he preaches by giving his wife of 47 years a wedding ring. The reality TV star gifted Miss Kay a wedding band as Christmas present, the first since they were married in 1966.

The couple's granddaughter Sadie Robertson uploaded a photo on Twitter of Miss Kay showing off the bling and Robertson pointing at it. "After 50 years of marriage, Papaw Phil finally gave Mamaw Kay a wedding ring for Christmas," she wrote along with the picture.

Married for almost five decades, Miss Kay once revealed in the A&E reality show that the marriage didn't go without its woes. "The drinking got worse. And I knew then, but I didn't want to believe it - he was running around on me," she talked about her husband's drinking problem and adultery. "And what I would tell my boys all the time is, 'That's not your daddy. That's the devil in your daddy'. I've been fighting for this marriage for a long time."

Robertson came under fire after an interview with GQ in which he compared homosexuality to bestiality, saying such people won't get a place in heaven. "Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there," he said of what he thinks is sinful, "bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men." He has since been suspended by A&E from the hit show.
