The first full trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson's historical epic "Pompeii" has just arrived, giving a look at Kit Harington as a gladiator who must fight his way out of the arena to save his lover. But he faces a challenge greater than the corrupt Roman government when Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava destroying everything in its path.
Set in 79 A.D., the story revolves around Milo, a slave turned invincible gladiator. He falls for Cassia, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. He finds himself in a race against time to save them both from destruction as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.
Emily Browning stars as Harington's on-screen love interest. Kiefer Sutherland, Jessica Lucas, Jared Harris and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje join the cast. The film is expected to be released in the United States on February 21, 2014.
