Angelina Jolie Looks Bewitching in First Poster for 'Maleficent'
Movie

The 'Salt' actress channels her inner witch as she gives an icy stare at the camera with her blue-green yellowish eyes.

The first official poster for Disney's live-action movie "Maleficent" has just arrived online. It features Angelina Jolie front and center as the wicked sorceress from Sleeping Beauty tale. Wearing a black cape, she looks fierce with her signature horned headdress, pale skin, bloody red lips, and blue-green yellowish eyes.

The film will follow a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent, who has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. She rises to be the land's fiercest protector but ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal - an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone.

The film was made on a whooping $200 million budget. Elle Fanning is cast as the Sleeping Beauty. Juno Temple, Sharlto Copley, Brenton Thwaites and Sam Riley join the cast in the supporting roles along with Jolie's young daughter Vivienne. It's due in the U.S. on May 30, 2014 with its trailer set for November 13 at 9 A.M. EST.

The movie recently underwent reshoots. John Lee Hancock, who wrote "Snow White and the Huntsman" and penned as well as helmed award-winning "The Blind Side", was enlisted by Disney to rewrite the problematic opening scenes and oversee the reshoots.

The flick was helmed by first-time director Robert Stromberg, the Oscar-winning production designer of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Avatar". It will be Jolie's first live-action film as the lead since 2010's "The Tourist".
