The first taste at the sequel to bone-crunching film "The Raid: Redemption" has just landed online. In the teaser trailer of "The Raid 2: Berandal", Rama (Iko Uwais) lets out his frustration in his cell by repeatedly punching the wall. While he's attacking the concrete, flashes of scenes from outside the jail teases a handful of bigger action scenes from the bloody hand-to-hand combats to gang shoot-outs and car stunts.

Picking up where the 2011 film left off after a rundown apartment building in Jakarta was conquered, the sequel will follow Rama going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless crime syndicate in the capital city of Indonesia to uncover the corruption in his own police force. The martial arts movie will be released sometime in 2014 with Sony Pictures and Stage 6 Films securing the distribution rights in North America.

Gareth Evans is back directing and writing "Berandal". Yayan Ruhian who played Mad Dog, the violent criminal to challenge Rama in one last battle in the first film, returns as a new character. Donny Alamsyah reprises his role as Rama's estranged brother. New cast include Julie Estelle as the Hammer Girl and Cecep Arif Rahman as the Assassin.
