Jennifer Lawrence is the new addition to Hollywood celebrities who recently opted for shorter hairdo. The Katniss Everdeen of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" showed off her new cut in a photo uploaded on her Facebook page on Wednesday, November 6.

In the cute photo, she can be seen sitting in a plane. Wearing a white top and black blazer, Lawrence flashes huge smile to the camera. The photo was shared prior to a global fan question-and-answer event for "Catching Fire" which was streamed live on Google. "Headed up north for #GLOBALFANDAY with The Hunger Games Catching Fire cast. Follow this page all day for updates!" she captioned the snap.

The Oscar-winning actress' new hairstyle garnered hot responses from her fans. A fan commented on Facebook that she looked "stunning, like always" with the new cut, while another said, "Her hair looks awesome." Others, meanwhile, likened her new hair style to Kate Gosselin's.

In the global fan day, the 23-year-old actress answered a fan's question about her new hairdo. "I just did it to make [director] Francis [Lawrence] mad. I did it just to annoy him," she said jokingly, while the real answer was because "it's fried from being dyed too much."

Lawrence was joined by her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth at the fun event. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will hit theaters across the U.S. on November 22.
