Will Smith is reportedly circling Fox's supernatural thriller "Selling Time", as his involvement in another Fox project "Independence Day 2" remains to be seen. According to The Wrap, he is courted by the studio to play the lead role in the film scripted by Dan McDermott.

The movie will center on a man who trades seven years of his life expectancy for a chance to relive a single day, the worst day of his life. Before McDermott was brought in to get the script done, Spike Lee and brother duo Steven and Derick Martini had taken a crack at the project.

Elsewhere, Kristen Stewart is allegedly eyed by "Like Crazy" director Drake Doremus to be the leading lady in his sci-fi love story "Equals" penned by Nathan Parker. Deadline reports he wants "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actor Nicholas Hoult to take on the the male part.

Smith was last seen in "After Earth" and will next be seen making a cameo in "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" due December 20 this year. His other new films include "Winter's Tale" and "Focus". Kristen, meanwhile, didn't have any movie released this year. But she lines up "Camp X-Ray" and "Sils Maria" as her next starring vehicles.
