Reese Witherspoon packs her bags and goes on a hike in her new movie "Wild". In a first picture taken from the set, she is seen having a huge travelling bag strapped on her back while standing in an open space with steep cliffs on the background.
The story centers on Cheryl Strayed who makes an impulsive decision to walk the 1000-mile Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert to Washington State by her own in search for meaning in her life, following the death of her mother and the failure of her marriage.
Based on Strayed's own best-selling memoir, the drama is supported by Laura Dern as the author's on-screen mother. Other cast include Thomas Sadoski, Michiel Huisman, W. Earl Brown, Gaby Hoffmann, and Kevin Rankin.
The filming will take place in Oregon and California. No release date has been set for the film.
