In a new interview with Out magazine, Nick and his brother Joe Jonas say that Cyrus' twerk-filled performance at the awards-giving show is 'funny.'

The members of Jonas Brothers are the latest artists who address Miley Cyrus' racy performance at MTV Video Music Awards. In a new interview with Out magazine, the brothers said that they're not fans of Cyrus twerk-filled appearance on the stage at NY's Barclays Center in late August.

"It wasn't my favorite performance of hers," Joe Jonas explained. "I think that there's one way of saying you've grown up, and there's another way - I think that's her way. Look, people are talking about it, so I think it's working for what she wants."

"She's smart. She's very smart. We've always known that about her. She'll always be successful," Nick Jonas said of Cyrus, whom once he dated. However, the youngest member of Jonas Brothers admitted that he didn't expect to see a "smart" girl donning a nude-colored raunchy outfit while twerking and sticking out her tongue throughout the performance.

"[The performance] was funny - I was laughing," the 21-year-old singer added.

Speaking of twerking, the magazine asked if the brothers agreed with Demi Lovato's call for a moratorium on the booty-shaking dance. Joe, who previously dated the judge of "The X Factor (US)", went against his former flame. He said, "I'm great [with twerking]. I'm with it."

Nick agreed with Lovato, saying, "I'm against [twerking]. I've just reached my limit. It's just done. It's too much." Kevin Jonas had his own opinion. "I'm straight down the middle. The right amount at the right time," the oldest member of Jonas Brothers added.
