Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gave a first look at Joseph Fiennes and John Hurt in "Hercules: The Thracian Wars". The lead actor tweeted, "Academy Awards & BAFTA's. Honor to work w/ brilliant actors Joseph Fiennes & John Hurt."
The set picture is a collage of three photos. One features Fiennes donning his armor, another shows Hurt as the King of Thrace. He wears a gold-brocade tunic and rocks graying hair and beards. The third image displays a silhouette of hulking figure holding a rod in his hand.
The Rock who plays the titular Demigod in the upcoming film also uploaded a picture from the set that gave a glimpse at an extensive battle sequence. "A fine day for battle. #MyKindOfWeekend #HERCULESMovie," so the wrestler-turned-actor wrote.
A new take on the classic tale of the powerful son of the god king Zeus, the live-action pic is supported by Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell and Irina Shayk among others. It's directed by Brett Ratner and is due to open in theaters on July 25, 2014.
