With Ben Affleck's new status as Batman, many fans doubt that he can pull the coveted role off just like Christian Bale. Perhaps, the newly-released first clip of Affleck's upcoming movie "Runner, Runner" can help the actor at the very least prove that his acting is not that bad like they all have feared.

As seen in the video released via Yahoo! Movies, Affleck in his less heroic role as a billionaire hangs out on his luxurious yacht with singer/actor Justin Timberlake's poor college student. During the chat, the "Argo" actor offers the "Bad Teacher" star a special opportunity that the latter surely won't pass on.

"Runner, Runner" sees a Princeton grad student named Richie, who travels to Costa Rica to confront online gambling tycoon Ivan Block with a belief that he's been swindled. The kid is then seduced by Block's promise of immense wealth, until he learns the disturbing truth about his benefactor.

The film is also supported by Gemma Arterton, Anthony Mackie, Oliver Cooper and Ben Schwartz. Leonardo DiCaprio is on board to produce along with Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Michael Shamberg among others.

From director Brad Furman, "Runner, Runner" will be released on October 10 in the U.S.
