The '30 Rock' creator shows David Letterman the surveillance footage that captures a man leaving her office with her laptop in an evelope.

AceShowbiz - Tina Fey has become a victim of burglary and she has a proof of it. Stopping by "Late Show with David Letterman" on Wednesday, August 21, the comedienne shared footage from a surveillance camera which showed a man with a blurred out face entering her office in New York City and walking away with her laptop containing all her ideas.

"What happened was we have this small office and these movers moved some stuff in and they told us we had to go downstairs to sign for it," the 43-year-old actress/writer recalled the incident. "Then I think one of the moving guys went upstairs and stole a computer."

"And that had all of my ideas on it," she continued. "It wasn't Jay Leno was it?" David Letterman quipped. Fey reported the crime to police but realized that she might not get her laptop back soon. "The police were helpful, but it's hard, New York's a big city and you're like, 'Some guy stole my jokes' and they're like, 'Yeah, we'll get right on it,' " she said.

Letterman noted that they showed the video "against all legal counsel" on his show. Fey added, "This is an alleged criminal. He walks out with what pretty much looks like a computer in a folder. Allegedly." She went on joking, "He might just have borrowed it," but there's no tape of him returning the laptop yet.

Speaking of her children, Fey opened up that her two daughters were so different. "I'm stupid! I thought, 'Well, they're both girls. Why are they so different?' They're two different people," she shared. "The little one is such a ... she might be a sociopath."

She went on recalling, "I was giving her a bath one night, and she was overtired - in her defense - and I said, 'OK, bath time over.' She got real mad that I took her out of the bath. ... She looked me square in the eyes, and with two tiny little hands, choked me." She quipped, "It's so funny because they're not strong enough to kill you. Not yet. Try again in a couple of years, Penelope!"
