Movie

The voice of the swearing teddy bear says that the sequel is 'aiming for a 2015 Passover release date.'

AceShowbiz - The release date for the highly-anticipated "Ted 2" has been announced by Seth MacFarlane, the writer and the voice of the swearing teddy bear. In response to a Twitter follower's question about it, the "American Dad!" co-creator writes, "We're aiming for a 2015 Passover release date."

While MacFarlane specifically tells fans that the sequel will grace big screens on April 3, 2015, Universal Pictures only confirms to ScreenCrush that it is indeed slated for April 2015. Thus, it is safe to say that the movie might not be up on that exact day.

Besides MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg is confirmed to reprise his role as John Bennett in the second installment. The "2 Guns" actor revealed back in January that the follow-up to the 2012 R-rated comedy hit was being developed and he had secured a spot in it. It's unknown whether or not Mila Kunis will return and join Wahlberg.

MacFarlane is currently working on his next film after "Ted", "A Million Ways to Die in the West". In the latter project, the Oscar nominee directs and stars in addition to writing. Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson and Neil Patrick Harris are his co-stars.
