"Thor: The Dark World" won't open until November 8, but fans are already sent into frenzy with good news offered by Natalie Portman. The Oscar-winning actress, who returns as Jane Foster in the upcoming installment from director Alan Taylor, reveals that Marvel Studios is planning to make another "Thor" chapter.

Speaking to E! Online during the Disney's D23 weekend, Portman was asked about her co-star Anthony Hopkins saying he'd love to have a third film about the hammer-wielding hero. The Nina Sayers of "Black Swan" then answered, "Yeah, well I think they are going to make a 'Thor 3', so I think Anthony will be pleased."

Portman is not the only cast member who has been asked about potential "Thor 3". Back in November 2012, Tom Hiddleston encountered the same question in an interview with Huffington Post. Unlike Portman, the British man was unsure.

"These kind of films, not to get too heavy about it, all depend on the financial success of the one before, so we'll have to see," said Hiddleston, who reprises role as Loki in the second "Thor" pic, but won't do so in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

"Thor: The Dark World" still sees Chris Hemsworth as the titular Norse god of thunder. It will open opposite Rachel McAdams' romantic comedy "About Time".
