Emma Roberts and her boyfriend, actor Evan Peters, speak out after she was reported getting arrested for hitting him. "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it," the couple says in a joint statement to Us Weekly.

Roberts, 22, and Peters, 26, reportedly got into a physical altercation in their shared hotel room in Montreal, Quebec on July 7. She was taken into custody after police noticed he had a bloodied nose and a bite mark. He, however, didn't want to press charges, and she was released hours later. Her source denied she bit him.

A week after the incident, the "Scream 4" actress was seen having bruised legs and a bandaged elbow when she was out and about in Beverly Hills. Sign of her injuries was exposed to the paparazzi's camera as she was wearing a denim overall skirt and a short-sleeved white top.

The daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece of actress Julia Roberts was also recently caught on camera looking upset and bursting into tears. She was seen being comforted by her boyfriend as she was crying outside a New Orleans studio.

The couple met on the set of their movie "Adult World", and has dated since 2012. They are still together, despite the dispute report, and are currently working on "American Horror Story: Coven" where he landed one of the lead roles and she played a recurring character.
