Busy Philipps and her husband Marc Silverstein welcome their second child. The "Cougar Town" actress gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday, July 2. "I can confirm she gave birth to a baby girl on July 2 who weighed 8.5 pounds," her rep says. "Everyone is healthy and happy."

"So this happened...," Philipps herself tweeted along with a black-and-white picture of her cradling the bundle of joy on her chest. The proud mother wrote the same message when posting a photo of a positive pregnancy test stick to announce her pregnancy last December.

The baby joins big sister, 4-year-old Birdie Leigh. "My daughter is super-excited," she once said of her first daughter. "She's actually incredibly helpful...So I think for right now it's OK, but we'll see what happens when the actual baby comes. I'm planning for that moment [when Birdie asks], 'And when does she go back?' I know that will happen.' "

While the couple named their first child after Lady Bird Johnson after listening to a radio show about the former U.S. first lady, no name has been announced for their newborn baby. When a friend asked, she said it was still undecided as saying, "We are trying out several!!"

The parents of two got married in 2007. When giving birth to daughter Birdie in 2008, Philipps said she didn't use any painkillers. "I had a baby with no pain medicine, mainly because most people I talked to didn't think I'd be able to do it," she told Us Weekly. "So there!"

She thought her second pregnancy would be as easy as the first one, but turned out it wasn't. "It's been completely different. I'm even losing my voice because I have acid reflux!" she dished on. "It's so gross. Your body is just highjacked. It's gross."

In addition to having her own kids, Philipps is the godmother of Matilda Rose Ledger, daughter of her best friend, actress Michelle Williams, and late actor Heath Ledger. Fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal is the godfather.
