Channing Tatum, 33, can now add father to his resume. His wife, Jenna Dewan, gave birth to their first child at a London hospital Thursday, May 30, according to Us Weekly. The sex of their newborn is not yet revealed.

Tatum and Dewan, 32, met on the set of 2006 dance movie "Step Up". They got married in 2009 after a year of engagement and had made no secret of their desire to have a child. They announced her pregnancy last December.

He has been staying in London for the past few months due to work commitment, and he has taken his wife with him. "We're going to actually have the baby in London while I'm shooting, and then there will be no downtime whatsoever after that," he told Ryan Seacrest.

The "Magic Mike" hunk was in town to film his new movie "Jupiter Ascending". He once joked to Jimmy Kimmel that he's hoping having his child abroad wouldn't affect the kid's speech. "I hope it doesn't just pop out with a weird accent," he said.

In a separate interview, Dewan said they would do just fine although they're both first-time parents. "We have two dogs, so we've had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast," she reasoned.
