Mathew, whose riches came mostly from years of managing daughter Beyonce Knowles, allegedly failed to pay the correct taxes.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles' father and former manager Matthew Knowles is now being hounded by the IRS for failing to pay the correct taxes from the years 2010 to 2011. The 62-year-old Knowles allegedly owes the government more than $1.2 million in unpaid taxes, $485,000 from 2010 and $728,000 from 2011.

Knowles, who was himself a music mogul with his own record label at the time he was managing her diva daughter, supposedly raked in millions from his role as talent manager to Beyonce before she dropped him as her handler back in 2011. Although she is not estranged from him, Bey cut her professional ties with Knowles shortly after his affair with "Scrubs" star Alexsandra Wright, which ended his 31-year marriage with Bey's mom, Tina Knowles.

Even before managing Beyonce's solo career, Knowles also made millions from way back as the early nineties when he was managing her girl group Destiny's Child. When the group broke off in 2006, he continued to manage Bey's career as a solo artist, who easily became one of the highest paid superstars of her generation. In March 2011, Bey parted ways with her father/manager, claiming she wanted to take control of her own career.

Knowles had his own label under Columbia Records, Music World Entertainment, which has released albums by Beyonce, her younger sister Solange Knowles and R'n'B singer Sunshine Anderson.
