Tony Stark Knocks Down Armed Helicopter in First 'Iron Man 3' Clip

The brilliant industrialist, played by Robert Downey Jr., shows off the special functionalities of his new suit Mark XLVII in the newly-released clip.

AceShowbiz - "Iron Man 3" teases Tony Stark's new armor in its clip that was debuted at 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14. Fans will get to see how sophisticated Mark XLVII is as Stark showcases the suit's special functionalities when facing some armed helicopters, which invade his house.

Having an unexpected visit from helicopters which fire its missiles to his home, Stark takes his suit to battle against them. The clip then reveals the special functionality of the suit as he is seen being wrapped by every piece of his suit. After he is completely suited up, Stark finally unleashes its power to knock down one armed helicopter.

In addition to the above-mentioned sneak peek, the Shane Black-directed film unleashes a new TV spot titled "Life". The preview collects several scenes, some of which see Mandarin and Pepper Potts, and puts it all into one dramatic teaser to entice fans.

The sequel to "Iron Man 2" stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Playing the film's antagonist and the hero's archenemy Mandarin is Sir Ben Kingsley.

The Marvel film is slated to hit U.S. theaters on May 3.
