The 'It's a Beautiful Day' singer records the Frank and Nancy Sinatra classic with the 'Sweet Home Alabama' actress.

Just a couple of days after premiering the music video for his rendition of the Bee Gees hit "To Love Somebody", Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Buble has released another cover. This time, he sings in a duet with Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon, doing their version of the classic "Something Stupid" which Frank Sinatra first recorded back in 1967 with daughter Nancy.
The track is one of several covers featured in Buble's forthcoming sixth studio album "To Be Loved" which hits U.S. stores starting April 23. This new version is the latest crack at the song which first appeared on Sinatra's album "The World We Knew" and in recent years popularized again by British crooner Robbie Williams, who recorded it with another famous movie star, Australian actress Nicole Kidman back in 2001.
Explaining the choice for Witherspoon as collaborator on this track, Buble revealed, "We loved 'Walk the Line' and her voice was so smooth and wonderful...So my manager said 'Call her'." "Walk the Line" was the 2005 biographical drama based on the life and career of country superstar Johnny Cash, where Witherspoon played Cash's second wife June Carter Cash.
Written by C. Carson Parks, "Something Stupid" was originally recorded by him with his wife Gaile Foote before it came to the attention of Old Blue Eyes. It then went on to become the first and only father-daughter duet to be a No. 1 song in the U.S.
