Aside from talking about his Vegas scandal last year, the younger brother of Prince William admits he's 'thrilled' about Kate Middleton's first pregnancy.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry tells it all to the media. In a series of recent rare interviews in Afghanistan, the younger brother of Prince William opened up about his controversial naked photo scandal in Vegas, addressed her sister-in-law Kate Middleton's pergnancy, and shared his feeling of killing insurgents in the country.

Harry recalled his headline-grabbing nude photo scandal after a wild late August weekend in Las Vegas. He confessed, "I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down." Still, he defended himself, "But at the end of the day, I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy that one should expect."

"It was probably a classic example of me probably being too much army, and not enough prince. It's a simple case of that," the red-haired prince told reporters during his four-month deployment to Camp Bastion, where he served as an Apache helicopter co-pilot. "One in the army, one socially in my own private time, and then one with the family and stuff like that. So there is a switch and I flick it when necessary."

The 28-year-old British prince admitted that he was upset with media coverage about his private party. "The newspapers knew that I was going away to Afghanistan, yet still published the photos," he said regretfully. "So the way I was treated by them I don't think is acceptable."

Harry said that he usually read the news about himself because "if there's a story and something has been written about me, I want to know what's being said, but all it does is upset me and anger me that people get away with writing the stuff they do." That's why, he said, his father Prince Charles always told him not to read it because it's "rubbish."

Speaking about media, the younger son of late Princess Diana thought "it was very unfair" that his brother William and sister-in-law Kate "were forced to publicize it [Kate's pregnancy] when they weren't ready, but that's just the media for you." He went, "I literally am very very happy for them, but I hope she and him, mainly Catherine, hopefully gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother, to be able to enjoy the privacy."

Harry further gushed that he really couldn't wait to become an uncle. "I'm thrilled for both of them," he enthused. "It's about time. I can't wait to be an uncle." He opened up that he "had a chat" with the famous royal couple regarding the happy news. "I spoke to my brother and her - both very well and very happy."

Apart from talking about his personal life and Kate's pregnancy, Harry revealed his unforgettable experience when he had to shoot Taliban insurgents during his deployment. Saying that serving as a gunner aboard a high-tech helicopter was not always fun, he added, "If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose. Take a life to save a life... Everyone's fired a certain amount."
