Ann Romney has got an invite to visit her favorite show, "Modern Family". After learning that the former First Lady of Massachusetts loves watching the Emmy-winning comedy, co-creator Steve Levitan offers a role to Mitt Romney's wife, but not without criticizing her objection to gay marriage.
"Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show," the director/writer tweeted in response to Ann's statement about her fondness for the show. "We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal."
Expressing hope that the Romneys will change their mind about gay marriage, Jesse Tyler Ferguson who plays Mitch wrote on his own Twitter, "I have to say, I'm actually thrilled Mitt & Ann Romney love 'Modern Family'. I hope it sparks something in them! #Equality."
Like her husband who once stated that he believes "marriage is between one man and one woman," Ann also doesn't support gay marriage. Back in 2002, she was reported to be signing a petition to ban gay marriage and domestic partnership rights in Massachusetts.
On the other hand, President Obama, who also named "Modern Family" his and his children's favorite show, has made it clear that he supports gay marriage.
