Hyping the upcoming October premiere of "American Horror Story: Asylum", the first teaser for the second installment of the horror series has been released online. It features haunting footage of a nun who carries two buckets containing what seems to be body parts while walking towards the woods. She later empties one of the buckets with bird chirps and church bell rings heard in the background.
The new season of the Ryan Murphy-created show is set in the 1960s at an institution for the criminally insane on the East Coast. Jessica Lange portrays a nun who is also an administrator of the facility. Writer Tim Minear described the character as a "bride of Christ."
Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe, who starred in the first season, also return as different characters. Joining the cast are Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan, who star as "The Lovers".
