According to the documents which were obtained by TMZ, the couple has been separated since October 2009. Wonder cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason of the split. He is asking for a joint custody of their two sons, ten-year-old Kailand and seven-year-old Mandla. In return, he has agreed to pay spousal and child support.
