Halle Berry's representative has released a statement following an on-set accident, announcing that the actress is fine and that hospitalization was taken a precaution. Berry was filming her new thriller "The Hive" in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 17 night around 10 P.M. when she injured her head.

According to TMZ, Berry "hit her head on the concrete after taking a nasty fall" while X17 reported that she "fell or was hit by a falling object, according to different sources on the set." She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by ambulance.

"Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, 'The Hive'. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned," the rep said.

In the film, Berry plays an emergency call center operator who takes a call from a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin), who has been abducted and carried away in the trunk of a car. The kidnapping plays out in real time as Jordan and Casey work together to track down the killer.
