The Playaz Circle rhymer is detained by police at an airport in New York City after officers find a metal ring in his bag.

2 Chainz had to delay his flight from New York City to North Carolina recently. The Playaz Circle rapper was arrested by police when entering the Delta Airlines terminal at New York City's LaGuardia Airport, MTV reported.
He was put into custody for misdemeanor possession of a weapon in the 4th degree after a pair of "metal knuckles" were found in his bag. "The knuckles were in his personal bag and sounded the alarm," an officer opened up to the publication.
Soon after the news of his arrest broke out, fellow rapper Big Sean clarified on his Twitter, "2 chainz ain't have no brass knuckles, it was a 4 finger ring that spelled hood." He explained why Chainz brought the metal ring with him, "We had a shoot yesturday n he was rockin em."
Another fellow star DJ Drama, meanwhile, posted a picture of him standing next to Chainz who wore the ring in question. He added hashtag "#free2chainz" and a post that read, "U mean that 4finger ring type brass knuckles? Oh. Ok."
A rep for Chainz said to TMZ that they were "handling the situation."
