Howard Stern Disses Britney Spears as 'X Factor' Judge, Calls Her 'Trainwreck'

'Britney still thinks the earth is flat. I don't anticipate great opinions from her,' so the Sirius FM host comments on the 'Hold It Against Me' singer while taking a jab at Jennifer Lopez.
Howard Stern did not hold his tongue when asked to comment on reports that Britney Spears has signed up to be a judge on "The X Factor (US)" season 2. Slamming the show's rumored decision to hire the blonde songstress, the shock jock sarcastically said at the press conference at New York's Friars Club on Thusday, May 10, "Well, I think it's a wonderful decision. Britney still thinks the earth is flat."

Stating that he didn't expect the former Mouseketeer to give great opinions, the radio personality enthused while taking a jab at "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez. "I think she's gonna sit there like J.Lo, 'Oh, you're wonderful, you're terrific. You think I can get a perfume endorsement out of this?' I'll tune in to see what kind of trainwreck she is," so he said.

When asked about a complaint he got from the Parents Television Council regarding his gig on "America's Got Talent", the 58-year-old said, "Some guy sitting in his basement calling himself Parents Television Council, you know. I don't think there's more than 25 people in this thing. I think it's a money-raising racket... But having said that, they're entitled to their opinion. They just sound awfully foolish when they haven't seen the show."

In an interview with "The View" hosts, he additionally said, "First of all, I think it's kind of silly of anyone to say, 'Gee, we're against Howard on the show,' and they haven't seen the show. What I would suggest is that they would really tune in Monday night, see what I do. What I'm gonna do is be a very serious judge."

As for his concern, Stern confessed, "One of the things about being on 'America's Got Talent' that is absolutely scary to me is that people have to look at my face. This is a face made for radio."
