On the same day he and his wife of 11 years release a joint statement about their break-up, the 'Twilight Saga' actor is seen out and about in Los Angeles without his wedding ring.

AceShowbiz - Another Hollywood couple is going through a marriage breakdown. "Twilight Saga" actor Peter Facinelli and his wife, former "90210" actress Jennie Garth, announced through a joint statement released on Tuesday, March 13 that they have decided to end their 11 years of marriage.

"While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children," said the couple, who has three daughters, 14-year-old Luca, 9-year-old Lola and 5-year-old Fiona, together, in the statement. "We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time."

Soon after the couple made public their separation, words came out that Facinelli's infidelity was one of the reasons for the split. Website Scallywag & Vagabond claimed that the 38-year-old actor was involved in a "short, torrid affair" with an unnamed Canadian woman during the filming of "Breaking Dawn".

"Peter had been seeing another woman for quite some time," so spilled a source. Garth reportedly knew about the affair. "As a lot of couples do, they simply grew apart. As the mother of his children, Peter still loves Jennie very much and vice versa," the source explained. "They tried to make it work for the sake of their children and Jennie played housewife for as long as she could but finally had enough."

Hollywood Life, in the meantime, speculated that the couple was driven apart by Facinelli's success after his work on the "Twilight" series. An inside source said, "Jennie is jealous of Peter's career and all the opportunities he got, thanks to 'Twilight'. He is the breadwinner now, but she used to be a bigger deal."

"Peter keeps getting offers and is getting more and more successful, which bothered Jennie. She started to have to stay home more often or join him on his adventures, but would get in the way," the insider explained. The source said that Facinelli also refused to work together with Garth again as explaining, "They were already having problems, so it didn't seem like a good idea to him."

Facinelli first met Garth on the set of TV movie, "An Unfinished Affair", in 1996. The twosome got married in 2001. The night before they announced their separation, Facinelli was seen attending the Los Angeles premiere of "The Hunger Games" with daughter Luca. The next day, he was seen riding his motorcycle without his wedding ring in Los Angeles.
