With their funniness, 'Bridesmaids' dominated the feature films category while 'Modern Family' overpowered the television series.

AceShowbiz - Although "Bridesmaids" failed to take home an Oscar last month, there's a chance that the Kristen Wiig -fronted comedy will win the second Annual Comedy Awards. With five nominations in hand including the highest honor of Best Comedy, "Bridesmaids" will have to battle crowns with "Crazy, Stupid, Love.".
Over in the television world, "Modern Family" and "30 Rock" lead the way with five nominations each. The former won the Best Comedy accolade last year and has to fight "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "30 Rock", "Happy Endings" and "Parks and Recreation" to get it again. "I want to thank everyone connected to the award and I want '30 Rock' to win," said Alec Baldwin who is nominated for Performance by an Actor - TV.
As for Louis C.K., he is triumphant because one of his FX series, "Louie", "Live at the Beacon Theater" and one for best stand-up tour all have a fews chances to win.
This year's Comedy Awards will be held on April 28 at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom and will air on Comedy Central on May 6. List of nominees can be found on TheComedyAwards.com.
