Calling her short marriage to Kris Humphries 'a bad business decision,' the star of 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York' reveals she went soul searching following the painful separation.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian opened up about her doomed marriage while co-hosting "Live! with Kelly" on Monday, January 23. After talking about football and the lunar new year, the reality star shared to Kelly Ripa and the audience how she handled her divorce.

"It's been a hard couple of month," she admitted. She went on sharing, "I moved in with my mom - half the time with Kourtney [Kardashian] and half the time with my mom. So, I've just been spending a lot of family time. I went to my mom's, I brought two pairs of sweatpants and a pair of pajamas. That was it. I really did some soul searching. I needed that. I just needed to be with the family."

When asked about the speculations that she faked the marriage for the sake of money, Kim laid her argument, "If you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, if the wedding was fake and just for TV - I'm a smart businesswoman, I would've stayed married longer."

Calling it "a bad business decision," she defended, "So, if you really think about it, it doesn't make sense that everyone says that. Um, so I really didn't know that following my heart would create this much backlash."

The 31-year-old, who claimed herself "such a hopeless romantic", was at the time thinking she could follow the footsteps of her sister Khloe Kardashian, who married Lamar Odom after a month-long romance, and her mother Kris Jenner, who tied the knot with Bruce Jenner after dating for five months. "I felt like I could do it. I fell in love and I thought it could work just like the examples that I saw," she stated.

Kim went on insisting that she "tried everything that [she] could" to maintain her marriage with Kris Humphries. "I want that forever love, and if I feel in my heart this isn't right, then why wait years to have the same results?" she argued. Sharing what she learned from the experience, she said, "I think I just learned that I need to rewrite my fairytale."

During her co-hosting gig, the star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" also revealed that she had her hairy arms lasered and that she had to cover the psoriasis on her legs with makeup. She additionally addressed Heidi Klum and Seal's breakup news and had to fend off a lizard.
