AceShowbiz - Two months after announcing their separation, Zooey Deschanel has sought to officially end her marriage to Ben Gibbard. The 31-year-old beauty filed for divorce from the Death Cab for Cutie frontman in L.A. County Superior Court on December 27, 2011, various reports say.

In the divorce papers, the "500 Days of Summer" star listed October 31 or last year's Halloween as the date of their separation, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She additionally asked the court to terminate Gibbard's right to spousal support.

According to TMZ, the documents filed in the divorce case included declaration of Deschanel's income and expenses. Among those reportedly mentioned are the fact that the Jess of FOX's comedy "New Girl" makes an average of $95,000 a month, and spends an average of $22,550 a month.

Deschanel tied the knot with Gibbard near Seattle, Washington in September of 2009. In an interview after confirming their separation last November, the younger sister of Emily Deschanel said that she and her estranged husband are still "friendly."
