Another day, another celebrity's marriage comes to an end. Just a day after Kim Kardashian filed a divorce from Kris Humphries, a representative for Zooey Deschanel comes out with a confirmation that the "New Girl" star has separated from her Death Cab for Cutie frontman husband, Ben Gibbard.
About the couple's decision to end their two years of marriage, one source told Us Weekly that there was no third party involved. The source also insisted that the split was "mutual and amicable". Another source, in the meantime, informed PEOPLE that the twosome are looking to "move forward with a divorce."
31-year-old Zooey first met 35-year-old Ben through their mutual music manager three years ago. The two got hitched near Seattle, Washington in September of 2009. In a recent interview with New York magazine, Ben recalled his initial meeting with Zooey. "I was just awestruck that she was even talking to me," he gushed.
