The Amanda Tanen of the canceled ABC series will portray Quinn, who romances Barney following his breakup with Nora and subsequent rejection from Robin, on 'How I Met Your Mother'.

Becki Newton will be another woman in Barney's life. It has been reported that the 33-year-old beauty is cast on "How I Met Your Mother" as Quinn, who is a potential love interest for Neil Patrick Harris' character.
According to TVLine, Quinn arrives after Barney gets heartbroken following his breakup with Nora and subsequent rejection from Robin. Newton will first appear in a January episode and recur throughout the currently airing season 7 of the CBS sitcom.
As seen in the latest episode of "HIMYM", Barney ended his relationship with Nora after he slept with Robin and realized that he still has feelings for her. Robin, in the meantime, decided not to confess to her boyfriend Kevin that she cheated on him with Barney, and maintains their relationship.
After wrapping up "Ugly Betty" on which she played Amanda Tanen, Newton starred on "Love Bites". However, the NBC series was canceled less than two months after it premiered in early June.
