A brand new trailer for "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" has landed online. Making its way out via Apple, the two-and-a-half-minute promo video follows Holmes and his comrade John Watson while they take on "the most important case" in Holmes' career. The new trailer sees more battle scenes in the woods, train and city than the first trailer. It also shows a funny moment where Holmes thoughtlessly throws Watson's wife out of a moving train.

"Sherlock Holmes 2" centers on the fabled quirky-mannered detective as he continues his pursuit of Professor Moriarty, whom he suspects to be the world's number one supervillain. In his attempt to solve the case, he is supported by his long trusted partner Dr. Watson, and gets help from his older brother Mycroft Holmes and a gypsy woman named Sim.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson respectively. They are joined by Jared Harris as villainous Moriarty, Noomi Rapace as Sim and Stephen Fry as Mycroft. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the sequel to 2009's "Sherlock Holmes" is slated to arrive in theaters across the U.S. on December 16.
