AceShowbiz - A full length trailer for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" has finally been made available via Apple. This freshly released video features half part of an 8-minute long preview of the movie which was premiered exclusively during a screening of "Straw Dogs" on September 14.
Nearly four minutes long, the trailer gives an introduction to Daniel Craig's Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara's Lisbeth Salander. Hired to investigate the mysterious death of Harriet Vanger, Mikael enlists the help of Lisbeth to solve the case. The promo video also shares a brief look at Lisbeth's same sex relationship.
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is based on the best-selling crime thriller trilogy by Stieg Larsson, "The Millennium Series". It revolves around the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of a heiress. A journalist recently dinged by a libel case and a young female hacker try to resolve it, stirring up bundles of personal and industrial corruption along the way.
Projected to come out in the U.S. on December 21, this highly-anticipated movie is directed by David Fincher with Steven Zaillian providing the screenplay. Joining Mara and Craig in the cast ensemble are Robin Wright Penn, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Plummer, Goran Visnjic, Joel Kinnaman and Joely Richardson among others.
