Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas are an item no more. PEOPLE came out with a report that the "American Idol" alum and the "Dancing with the Stars" pro-dancer have mutually called it quits, and their demanding careers are being blamed for the split.
The couple, who were first reported stepping out together in April, allegedly made the decision after a heart-to-heart talk sometime this week. "They both decided with everything going on that they couldn't give each other what would be fair," a source said. "They mutually decided this."
A representative for 22-year-old Pia refused to comment on the break-up report, but told E! News, "She's hard at work on her new album and can't wait for her fans to hear it." The rep additionally said, "Pia is wrapping up her 'American Idol' tour and her album is expected to be released soon."
News of the split came on the same day Star magazine linked Mark to his latest "Dancing" partner Kristin Cavallari. A source told the tabloid, "She was sitting on his lap while he was nuzzling her neck. They were having dinner with Derek Hough but didn't pay him any attention."
"They were consumed with each other," the source continued on spilling details of the alleged hook-up. "You can tell she is really into him. Kristin was having a great time! They definitely look like more than friends!"
