Barney Has Pre-Wedding Jitters in New 'HIMYM' Clip
TV

Barney is talking to Ted about whether or not he is wearing the right tie while he is actually worrying about making a commitment.

Barney gets anxious just before his wedding in a new clip for "How I Met Your Mother" season 7 premiere. Speaking to Ted, he denies that he has pre-wedding jitters and only worries about whether or not he chose the right tie.

"I have to wear this tie forever and ever," Barney says to Ted. "Did I make a mistake? Would I have been happier with the other tie?" In the end, however, he admits that he was not talking about a tie, which means that the tie is likely a metaphor for a woman he is going to spend his life with.

Another newly-released clip gives an extended look to Barney and Robin dancing at Punchy's wedding. Jason Segel who plays Marshall gushed, "Robin and Barney's song-and-dance is out of this world. I had the pleasure of watching them film it. It's extraordinary."

Cobie Smulders, meanwhile, dished on what leads the former lovers to perform the number. "It's an argument about how Robin doesn't realize what great chemistry [she and Barney] have. A song comes on at a wedding, and this huge dance number happens," she revealed. "It takes them both by surprise."

The first episode of "HIMYM" season 7 will air this Monday, September 19 at 8/7c on CBS. Titled "The Best Man", the episode follows Barney who prepares for his wedding to a mystery bride while he and Ted reminisce about Punchy's wedding, including when Marshall and Lily announced they are having a baby. Meanwhile, Robin considers telling Barney she has feelings for him.
