NBC has released its 2011-2012 primetime schedule, including some of its 12 new shows. The network inserts 6 series ("The Playboy Club", "Prime Suspect", "Grimm", "Up All Night", "Free Agents" and "Whitney") on the fall schedule, and puts "Smash" and "The Firm" in midseason.

Noticeably missing from the line-up is "30 Rock". The Tina Fey-starring show which usually airs every Thursday will not air until midseason. To fill the slots, "Whitney" and "Prime Suspect" are scheduled to be aired following "The Office" which stays on its 9 P.M. slot.

"Chuck" will return for a fifth and final season of 13 episodes next fall on Fridays. It is paired with newbie "Grimm". "The Celebrity Apprentice" also gets renewal and will return in mid season, as the peacock has stated that the show will still be back even if Donald Trump "decides to run for president and is unavailable to do the show".
