Steve Carell's Final Episode on 'The Office' Extended

The April 28 episode will run 50 minutes from 9:00 P.M., followed with 40-minute episode of 'Parks and Recreation'.

AceShowbiz - Fans will have enough time to say goodbye to %cSteve Carell% before he leaves "The Office". NBC has announced that the final episode for his character Michael Scott will be extended to 50 minutes when it airs on April 28. Thus, it will run from 9:00 to 9:50 P.M.

"Parks and Recreation" will immediately follow with its own super-sized episode from 9:50 to 10:30 P.M. "30 Rock" will continue the studio's Thursday night line-up from 10:30 to 11:00 P.M.

Before Carell bids farewell, %cWill Ferrell% will join the drama comedy on April 14 as DeAngelo Vickers, the new boss at Scranton branch. He will stay on "The Office" until May 5, a week after Carrell's last episode.

Recently, %cRay Romano%, %cCatherine Tate% and %cJames Spader% have reportedly been cast for the May finale, adding more candidates of the full-time replacement for the Scranton branch manager.
