'The A-Team' Sequel Likely Not Happening

Gushing on the status of the potential sequel is Bradley Cooper who claims there isn't 'enough revenue to supply' the project.

AceShowbiz - Another "The A-Team" movie is highly unlikely. Bradley Cooper was recently asked about a potential follow-up to the 2010 film, and despite his interest to reprise his role as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, the actor gave hint that there is very little chance the project is happening.

"I loved it too," Cooper said in response to Holmesy's statement that "The A-Team" was great. "But unfortunately, outside of you, a few of your friends and myself, there just wasn't enough revenue to supply a second installment of that franchise," he added during a webchat held at Empire office.

Liam Neeson, who played Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, previously also said he would love to do another "The A-Team" film but the studio has other things to consider. "Well, there's nothing planned at the minute, but the studios certainly aren't saying no. I personally would love to get on the horse again, you know? With Bradley and Sharlto [Copley] and Rampage [aka Quinton Jackson] - we all would. But with the studios and the studio system it's a question of dollars and cents," he stated.

"The A-Team", released by The 20th Century Fox, indeed only received luke-warm response from audience. Though it has grossed $177 million worldwide, it was not considered enough for a mid-summer blockbuster.
