ABC offers a second helping of "V" season 2 which premieres on January 4. The promo reminds fans why some human beings now take a stance against the Visitors. The last time viewers saw of them was when Father Jack gave a heartfelt sermon about how human are blinded by the false prophets.

The season premiere is titled "Red Rain". TV Guide says the red sky that Anna unleashed at the end of last season's finale will open up and "seriously ruin Erica and Tyler's day" within the first 5 minutes of the episode. "It's so much better," Elizabeth Mitchell who plays Erica said in August about the new chapter. "We kinda set the groundwork and it's off and running, which I needed it to be. And it's more fun for me."

Fans can look out for the guest starring appearance of Jane Badler from the original "V" series playing Anna's mysterious mother. She was initially signed for 4 episodes only but her run has been extended to 10 episodes. Meanwhile, there's also Jay Karnes as Erica's new FBI partner.
