A representative for the actress has shot down report mentioning that she skipped the film adaptation of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', insisting she was never approached for the project.

AceShowbiz - Vanessa Hudgens never turned down an offer to star in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Despite rumor that she refused the job, a representative for the star has denied it and told Gossip Cop, "[Hudgens] was never approached about this project."

Previously, Hollyscoop reported that Hudgens was offered to portray a fresh character in the upcoming movie adaptation of the TV series with the same title. "She felt that with 'Twilight' still so massive, 'Buffy' would not be the best option right now," a source additionally claimed.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the major character in the TV series, was reportedly set to return to the film feature version and play alongside Hudgens. However, since the 21-year-old beauty turned down the offer, "the project has been shelved for now."

Vanessa Hudgens has one movie, "Beastly", waiting for its release. The film which picks up the idea of modern version of "Beauty and the Beast" is pushed back to March 18, 2011 from the original U.S. release schedule of July 30 this year because Zac Efron's movie "Charlie St. Cloud" will also come out on the same day.
