Dave Annable is so excited by his recent engagement to Odette Yustman that he was willing to share the details how he proposed to her. To Us magazine, the "Brothers & Sisters" actor said their parents were actually there to celebrate with them soon as he popped the question on Valentine's Day.

"I [proposed] at a place where we fell in love," the 30-year-old actor said. "It was in Santa Barbara [Calif.], and I surprised her with her parents and my parents after [the proposal]. We went to the [hotel] restaurant...and our parents were there waiting. It was pretty rad! She was very surprised."

The couple has been celebrating the engagement "for over a week straight". The wedding meanwhile, is set to take place this year. The happy man said, "As for the plans, I think I did the hard work, the engagement, so I'm like, 'I think I'll give it to you. Whatever you want!' " Revealing a bit further, Annable added that he wants kids "sooner than later".

At the same occasion, Yustman also talked about the engagement, saying "Listen, if it happens, it happens. But I'd like to wait a few years. Let's travel. Let's do the whole thing, but he is ready before I am. He is ready now!"
