Mary J. Blige teams up with Travis Barker to cover a classic rock n' roll song. Along with the Blink-182's drummer, she hits the studio and re-records Led Zeppelin's worldwide hit "Stairway to Heaven".

"I was thinking, 'What is the most important rock and roll song in America?' ... and it's this one," she told Entertainment Tonight on why she decided to cover Led Zeppelin's track. "The record is just crazy. I think everybody would appreciate it if I can nail it."

In addition to working with Travis, Mary also gets help from "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, Michael Jackson's former guitarist Orianthi as well as rock veteran Steve Vai who once worked with Ozzy Osbourne.

The revamped version of "Stairway to Heaven" will be included in international re-package album of her latest studio installment "Stronger With Each Tear". The song is yet to have any release date, while the re-release album is due for March 15 U.S. release.

This is not the first time Mary J. Blige goes rock n' roll. In 2005, she made a live collaboration with U2 for the band's hit single "One" and received standing ovation from the concertgoers. A studio version for the duet was later recorded and appeared in her multi-platinum album "The Breakthrough".
